If you are already bored of classic gingerbread cookies by now, try these soft and chewy gingerbread-spiced cookies with a delicious caramel filling. Trust me they are highly addictive! :)
Only three days until Christmas, can you believe it? And I haven’t wrapped a single present! I’m so behind with everything this year.
The combination of orange and cranberry is delicious for these loaf cakes. The oranges gives it that extra sweetness while the cranberries bring some tartness to it. The recipe is super easy to make and great if you need to whip something up very quickly for some spontaneous guests.
Eggnog cake is a simple yet delicious dessert for the holiday season. I generally don’t like to make bundt cakes. There is always the fear that the cake won’t come out of the tin. But this time I made sure to grease every tiny corner of the tin and it came out very easily. The tedious greasing is definitely worth it, as the bundt shape makes the eggnog cake even more appealing.
I received these very cute cupcake liners and toppers about a year ago as a gift and haven’t used them because I thought they were too cute for baking and then having to throw them away… Yes I’m weird like that! But one of my new years resolution is to actually use the things I have and not saving them anymore. So here there are, finally being used, in all their glory with a delicious caramelized apple batter inside. However, I must admit that I’ve only used four of the cupcake liners, I couldn’t quite get myself to using them all up… well, baby steps! ;)
This is another recipe for all you marzipan lovers out there! :D
This is not a classic shortbread recipe but the cookies taste buttery, crumbly just like shortbread with a hint of marzipan. These cookies will melt in your mouth. The marzipan and drizzle of milk chocolate adds a festive flair to these lovely holiday treats.
The pink rum glaze of these gingerbread cake bars can usually be found on a typical Austrian dessert, ‘Punschkrapfen’. Inspired by this dessert, but wanting to make it more Christmas appropriate, I made a Gingerbread spiced cake, brushed with apricot jam and glazed with homemade rum glaze. Stressing homemade because I would normally just buy the ready-made glaze from Manner. Determined to recreate the store-bought glaze, I think I came pretty close in imitating the color and taste. Plus, it is more helpful if you want to try the recipe and can’t get your hands on the store-bought glaze.
