I love oatmeal! I became a fan of it in London where they call it ‘porridge’ and cook the oats with milk to get a creamier texture. But sometimes (actually often) I like to eat cake for breakfast. I’m not a huge breakfast person, I don’t like to eat straight after I’ve woken up. I need my time to wake up in the morning before I’m in the mood to eat. I love brunch, though! I could easily eat pancakes, waffles and cinnamon rolls every day without getting tired of it!
If you thought you’ve just read wrong and can’t believe that the words chocolate and healthy can be used in the same sentence then my friends you are in for a treat. Trust me you will be keeping your healthy new years resolution if you try this recipe. You might feel guilty nevertheless because it just tastes so delicious! ;)
For my first post of 2014, I wanted to write about a healthy DIY to help all of us staying on track with our new year’s resolutions because haven’t we all made some health and fitness-related resolutions back in good old 2013?! ;)
I like researching how to make my own ‘food’. First of all it gives me a great deal of satisfaction knowing that I am not dependent on a supermarket, a brand or a company (yes I’m talking about you Nutella!). Most of the time it is healthier and does not contain any nasties. And in 99.9% of the cases it tastes much better than store bought!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
I hope you are spending a lovely day with your families and friends!
I made my very first gingerbread house! I wanted to do one for so long and this year I finally made one. I would love to tell that it was super easy to make it, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. It took me hours, endless batches of icing and I was on the verge of throwing everything away when my house collapsed for the fifth time. But then my boyfriend saved the day as he realized that I built it wrong! Please don’t ask how it possible to build a gingerbread house wrong, but I managed to do just that… All in all it was quite messy but I’m proud of my little house!
Sorry for being so late with this post! The Christmas madness has caught up on me..
Are you ready for silky, smooth chocolate mousse with chestnut purée, topped with a homemade marrons glacés brittle? This recipe is super easy and quick to make. It is great if you need a last minute dessert for your Christmas party. I would recommend filling the mousse in small cups, as it is quite rich and filling. My mom had these beautiful vintage cups that I’ve used.
If you are already bored of classic gingerbread cookies by now, try these soft and chewy gingerbread-spiced cookies with a delicious caramel filling. Trust me they are highly addictive! :)
