There is nothing better than overcoming that midday slump with a delicious cup of coffee. I prefer drinking coffee in the afternoon. It improves my focus and makes me feel ready to tackle the next tasks. I’m not really a morning coffee drinker, except when I’m on vacation, but then again I don’t wake up very early when I’m on vacation ;) Continue Reading…
This week I’m braving the snow with a tropical smoothie. A Pineapple Mint Smoothie with a splash of coconut water to be exact. I have been dreaming of white beaches and turquoise water as I am stomping through the snow in my Uggs. And this smoothie is just what I needed to warm my heart. Continue Reading…
The idea for a Spiced Mocha Latte came to me as I was reading that Nespresso is hosting a contest. Last week the ingredient of choice was chocolate, along coffee and milk. Instead of a regular mocha, I wanted to created an aromatic, spice-infused version that will warm you up from the inside. Ever since being at the Press Day for all i need, I was thinking of different ways to mix it into a drink. Raspberries seemed to harmonize with the açaí and aronia berries in all i need. A squeeze of lime juice and mint leaves always work! And that is how a delicious drink was created in my mind using all natural ingredients!
My new favorite drink at Starbucks is the Vanilla Spice Latte. Usually I find Starbucks’ signature drinks overly sweet but with the Vanilla Spice Latte I was pleasantly surprised. The spices-infused syrup adds a nice contrast to the sweetness of the vanilla. It is a tasty treat on a cold winter day and the spices will warm you up from the inside.
For my first post of 2014, I wanted to write about a healthy DIY to help all of us staying on track with our new year’s resolutions because haven’t we all made some health and fitness-related resolutions back in good old 2013?! ;)
I like researching how to make my own ‘food’. First of all it gives me a great deal of satisfaction knowing that I am not dependent on a supermarket, a brand or a company (yes I’m talking about you Nutella!). Most of the time it is healthier and does not contain any nasties. And in 99.9% of the cases it tastes much better than store bought!
