Too much food between the holidays? Way too much alcohol over the past week? If you are like me and can’t remember the last time you ate something green and full of vitamins, this is the perfect drink to detox your body and reboot your system. Don’t fall into a rut of unhealthy food, it is a vicious cycle. And who doesn’t want to start the new year with yummy, green power juice ;)
So here is what you need:
2 handfuls of spinach
2 stalks of celery
3 sliced granny smith apples
a few fresh mint leaves
juice of 1 lime
Put everything in a juicer except the lime. Squeeze the juice of one lime in a citrus juicer and add it to the green juice and voilà you have the perfect start for your day.
Even if you are not keen about spinach, I encourage you to try this, you won’t taste it at all. And the granny smith apples give it a nice tangy taste.
