Christmas is very close and it is time for recipe Number 3: delicious and festive Toffee Nut Truffles! Today’s recipe is inspired by Starbucks’ ‘Toffee Nut Latte’, a long-time favorite of mine! Although it has received some serious competition by the delicious ‘Chestnut Praline Latte’ I had for the first time in New York this year. Another festive drink Starbucks has deprived us of in Austria!
It is time for Christmas recipe Number 2! This year Starbucks has brought a new Red Cup flavor: Honey & Almond Hot Chocolate. It is an indulgent drink that will definitely satisfy your chocolate craving and is also a bit more festive for the holiday season. If you would rather eat this chocolate treat than sip it, I have an easy recipe for you! ;)
Maybe you have already guessed from my previous post what this year’s Christmas recipes could be? Starbucks brought back four Christmas beverages this season and I wanted to create a cake recipe for each Red Cup flavor. To make it more fun and festive, I created a cake ball recipe so you can eat and enjoy your favorite Starbucks flavor with your coffee at home.
Remember my 24 Days of Christmas Baking from last year? Well, unfortunately I won’t be doing a recipe advent calendar this year, but I have something else exciting planned!
Remember my post about Food Blogger Connect a little while back, where I met Farrah from Moose Maple Butter. Well ever since I tried her delicious organic butter flavored with real maple syrup, I have been thinking what I could bake with it. Maybe overthinking a bit too much and that may be the reason why it took me so long to come up with this recipe :)
I already stocked up on Halloween candy while I was in the US (back in September) and you can’t imagine how ready I am to devour it! While supermarkets in Austria are selling Christmas cookies and advent calendars, I have been waiting to eat my Halloween candy. No trick or treating involved, just the candy and I on the couch, that is the plan this year.
This year, I was also able to get my hands on candy corn, a fondant candy made out of corn syrup and sugar, shaped like kernels of corn. While I’m not a big fan of the taste, I love the color combination for Halloween. It is definitely a Halloween must-have. For that reason, I created a Candy Corn pudding lookalike, made out of three different pudding layers: vanilla, mango and coconut.
