I thought I’ll give you guys an insight of my favorite places and things to do in Oxford.
It may seem silly to some of you but believe me this Bolognese deserve its own post!
Yesterday, my boyfriend and I did a little excursion to this nice pub called The Trout, located in Lower Wolvercote. My boyfriend wanted to take me there for some time now, but the last times we were in Oxford we never managed to go. So yesterday we decided to finally walk there. He remembered the walk to be around 20 minutes… well we ended up walking for 1,5 hours, but it was so worth it!
The one store we always run to first when we are in England is Jack Wills. The british clothing brand reminds me of Abercrombie with a british twist to it. My boyfriend found Jack Wills a few years ago in Oxford and it is now one of my favorite shops. I agree that it can be a bit pricey but I must say that they have great sales. And it was a special treat to see that they have an outlet store at Bicester Village :)
My boyfriend and I arrived in Oxford on Tuesday and were surprised how cold it was (leaving Vienna at 30°C). As soon as we got off the bus from Heathrow, I pulled out my sweater, scarf and trench coat from my suitcase and even after putting everything on I was still freezing! Therefore, we decided that same evening to go to Bicester Village (the most amazing outlet shopping centre and only 20 minutes from Oxford!) the next day to buy some warmer clothes. Needless to say that the next day the weather changed dramatically and it was nice and warm.
