The recent changes in weather make it seem that summer has already said goodbye to us. Thankfully I still have my summer vacation to look forward to (more on that soon).
This year (like every year!) I found some great pieces from Massimo Dutti’s summer sale. They are not your typical summer purchases, like a jumpsuit or a bikini, but I am positive that they will accompany me throughout the Fall season as well.
I have been busy over the past week choosing a new design for my blog. I feel that it looks more organized and clearer now. I really hope you like my new & improved Bowsessed :)
Now I’m back with my beloved Bowsessed series, showcasing this week a few summer fashion items in one of my favorite colors: mint. I have put together a few of my recent finds, mostly from the summer sales, that I would bring to a day at the beach or pool.
My second post in my Bowsessed series is about all the pretty things with a bow that I have been lusting over on the Internet.
The Kate Spade bag would be such a nice all-round summer tote bag. Casual and chic at the same time. I am secretly waiting for this one to go on sale ;)
I have also really fallen for the bow pillow from Caitlin Wilson, who I have found through Instagram. She has the most amazing fabrics in her online store!
I want to start a new series on the blog, that may be quite obvious. Bowsessed has been lacking on the bow front lately which I can’t quite understand, because when I look into my room/closet I could easily point at 50 things that have a bow on it! So starting this week I will be posting either a bow-themed item from my personal collection or one from my current wish list every week (which will probably further feed my bowsession).
Sorry for the delay in posts, I’ve just come back from London where I attended Food Blogger Connect (more on that in the next days) and unfortunately fell ill. Now I am trying to get back in the swing of things! :) I’m also trying to figure out a posting schedule to be more consistent.
Today I have a very easy DIY for you to make cute knotted hair ties or twistbands as some people call them.
On my last trips to the US (which have been a while back) I have seen knotted hair ties at shops like Anthropologie and J.Crew. They seemed so cute, were usually very conveniently positioned by the checkouts, where I was very tempted to buy them until I saw the price! There were generally priced at about $15 for 4 hair ties, which I thought was insane! I mean they will be stretching out like any other hair tie and I just couldn’t bring myself to spend that much money on hair ties. I thought they seemed easy enough to make at home for a lot less money!
Mom, if you are reading this (which I know you are), turn off your computer NOW! I know you don’t want me to get you anything for Mother’s Day, but I will do it anyways!
My mom does not believe in celebrating a holiday, forced upon us by flower and beauty shops. She always says that to her every day is Mother’s Day. I, on the other hand, like to spoil my lovely mommy once in a while!
If you are lacking gift ideas this year, here are some inspirations for you: Gifts for the loving mother who is fabulous and has everything! ;)
