Easter is just around the corner and while I love a simple carrot cake for Easter brunch, this year I want to make something less traditional and extra special: Mini tiered cakes made of a lemon poppyseed batter, covered in a simple lemon-sugar icing. May sound complicated, but they are much easier to make than you think ;) Continue Reading…

I love Easter time. Spring has officially sprung and it is a great excuse to decorate the home in pastel colors. Every year I like to create homemade Easter treats as presents for friends and family. While a Lindt bunny is always a nice little treat, gifting a homemade Easter surprise makes it even more special. And delicious and fun desserts are an egg-cellent way to celebrate Easter with loved ones.
Today, I wanted to share with you a quick and easy DIY. How you can quickly decorate any cake to make it ‘Easter-appropriate’. You can use any cake you might have on hand. It does not have to be carrot cake. I just thought that this was appropriate because you know Easter – bunny – bunnies eat carrots :D
Easter is all about chocolate, but I have a healthier recipe for you today: Gluten-free chocolate eggs made of natural almond butter.
As you may already know I am a big fan of almond butter. I love almond butter cookies, so I thought why not try to make Easter candy with almond butter.
