As I was awaiting spring I did a little shopping and bought my first Bobbi Brown products! :) As you can see I was in the mood for some pretty pastel pink shades, perfect for spring and summertime.
I’m very pleased with the products and colors I chose! They do not only look very pretty in the packaging, but brightened up my face (and mood in this dull weather).
Pastel Pink is a soft pink blush with a matte finish. It has blue undertones and looks very nice on my fair skin. It gives your cheeks a doll-like finish but isn’t shimmery at all which makes it look natural. I can definitely see this blush as a new staple in my make up bag for an everyday ‘make-up no make-up’ look.
This blush is not very pigmented (this made swatching impossible), but that is also why I like it so much! You basically cannot overdo it with this one (even if you are a little heavy-handed like myself) and it won’t look splotchy. I love Bobbi Brown’s very classy packaging but I would prefer having a little mirror with the blush.
Bobbi Brown Blush in Pastel Pink €26.50
The brightening lip glosses are sheer but not completely transparent. They add a bit of color to the lips and have a shimmery finish. The lip glosses have light reflective particles but apply very smoothly. I did not feel any glittery particles on my lips. The texture of the glosses is a bit sticky but that makes them last longer. The formula of the brightening glosses is very nice as they are moisturizing. The smell is also very light and pleasant, not too sweet or overpowering.
The brightening lip gloss in Nectar is a gorgeous coral pink. Beautiful on its own or over a nude lipstick to brighten up your lips.
Peach adds a very nice nude glow to your lips and looks very pretty over soft pink lipsticks.
Here are the swatches of the lip glosses:

What is your favorite make-up product for spring?
I wish you all a great start into the week!

June 2, 2014 at 11:12 amThank you for reminding me of spring time – given the weather, I tend to forget about it and I am running around in my dark grey pyjamas….The adorable nude glow (peach) makes myself look a bit fresher and a bit less like my own ancestor :-) Very inspirational!
It is not a product but still helpful: I collected some poppies yesterday and put them on my table – adds a taste of spring to my everyday life as well ;-)
