On our last day in Punta Ala we wanted to take advantage of the beach as much as possible. We just didn’t want to leave!
I know I’m still pale, even after two weeks in Italy. But to my defense: a) I have been living in London for the past year and b) I have been a good student these past weeks, writing on my dissertation non-stop and only going to the beach in the late afternoon/evening for a few hours.
The sun glistening on the ocean.
I love the feeling of sand between my toes, it is just one of those little things that makes me happy.
The thing I’m going to miss the most is the food! The fresh pasta, foccacia bread still warm from the oven, cheese, prosciutto and melon, the fresh fruits and vegetables from the market … why does everything taste better in Italy?
It was time to say goodbye far too soon!
Before we left, we had to stock up on Aranciata, for a fraction of the price.
This shot was taken the next morning as we left beautiful Punta Ala. It was hard to say goodbye to that view. But all good things must come to an end and I’m excited to be home for a while and enjoy Vienna.
