We made it to Punta Ala, which was still quite a long drive from Cittadella. Punta Ala is situated in the south of Tuscany and is a little Italian paradise. On a really nice day you can even see the island of Elba. It has been sizzling hot since we arrived, but I’m not complaining.
These past days we had the same routine. Getting up, most of the times not as early as I was anticipating, I must admit. Writing on our dissertations.. until it was time for a little break.
So we headed to town where I was facing some very difficult decisions: What cookie to choose with my coffee? I know it’s a hard life :P
I chose the biggest one, duh!
After our coffee (and hand-sized cookie) we would head home to write some more on our dissertations. But not before stopping at the best pizza place to take home some slices and the best foccacia bread for a late lunch. And yes we had pizza almost every day, after all you have to take advantage of the fact that you are in Italy!
Around 5ish, we would drive down to the beach to swim and soak in the sun.
One of these days, we decided to drive to the harbor of Punta Ala to watch the sunset from there. The atmosphere was unbeatable.
Back home we would throw something on the BBQ. This time it was tiger prawns.
And S’mores for dessert!
We drank Martini Asti and played UNO until it was time for bed.
All the amazing Italian food definitely makes up a bit for having to write on my dissertation!
