Ahead of the launch of the brand’s flagship store on Regent’s Street in November, J.Crew opened a pop-up store in King’s Cross. The chic retailer also teamed up with the fashion school, Central Saint Martins College for a design project.
I was immediately intrigued when I heard the news, as J.Crew is always on my list for my trips across the pond. Bright colors, embellished and sequined pieces and lovely boyfriend V-neck cashmere sweaters… I always get inspired by J.Crew’s pieces. And I get really excited when I can get my hands on their catalogue. I love that the pieces can be styled very simple or in a more extravagant way as shown in their catalogues.
At the temporary shop, visitors were able to shop selected pieces from the summer collection, cashmere sweaters and a preview of the fall collection of the brand. The retailer also offered a monogramming service for its cashmere pieces.
The cashmere sweaters were so lovely, but unfortunately didn’t fit with my student budget. I am a sucker for cashmere and my favorites are baggier boyfriend styles. My mantra is that you can never own enough, they are so versatile, go with everything and keep you snuggly warm.
Although I wouldn’t normally go for that color, I really liked the green cashmere sweaters with the flowers!
The pop-up store will only be open for 48 hours from May 24th, so if you want to snatch any of their pieces hurry up ;)
It is located at the back of King’s Cross Station, next to Central Saint Martins (4 Stable Street).
Unfortunately the only thing I brought home with me was their catalogue, which made a nice addition to my couch table ;)
